Parents are always welcome to our center. We encourage you to come in and have a look at your child’s work. Parents and staff members need to work together to make a positive and meaningful impact in a child’s life.
Children need to bring their own lunch. We're happy to say there are no allergies at the center.
Children will be asked to have a nap after lunch. If your child does not sleep anymore during the day, he or she will be asked to do quiet activities like drawing, playing board games or sometimes watch a movie while the others are asleep.
We want to establish a routine for your child. Nap time will always be between 11:45am to 1.45pm.
Your child will need a pillow and a cover. If your child prefers to sleep with a special toy, you can bring it at the center. We want your child to be able to relax and be comfortable.
In order to keep illnesses to a minimum, equipment is scrupulously cleaned and sanitized. Inspection by the Department of Public Health is carried out at regular intervals. Vigilance about health matters is critical in a daycare. The health of all children depends on the co-operation of all parents and staff based on the current health standards, in accordance to rules and regulations from Public Health and Social Development.
The following are some important health policies that will protect everyone attending the center. These policies are incorporated in every child care centers in New Brunswick.
- The parent is required to phone the center before 9am when a child is absent due to illness.
- If your child presents symptoms to any kind of illness, we have the right to return him/her home with you to protect the other children attending the center.
- If your child has a fever, has diarrhea or has vomited in the last 24 hours, he/she is not allowed at the center.
- When your child shows symptoms at the center, we will contact you and you will have one hour to pick your child up. You child will be isolated to protect the other children. If you refuse to do so or can’t be reached easily, we can terminate your child’s registration.
- Your child has to be symptom free for at least 24 hours before being allowed back at the center. Illnesses can be spread rapidly and we want to protect the children, their families and the staff as best as we can.
- If your child is too ill to participate in all activities, he/she will be sent home to recover.
