What makes us a quality child care center?

• We believe that children are by nature curious and eager to learn. We believe that young children learn best when they experience their environment first hand in play. It’s their direct experience in the world with the people, places and objects at hand that spark their innate desire to find out, figure out, or otherwise solve problems that present themselves through the course of everyday events. Educators provide the guidance and support for knowing how things work and how to successfully live in the world with self and others.

• Our groups are smaller. We have around 12 to 15 children during the day. It means children get all the attention they need and get to build strong relationships with their friends and the educators.

• Our educators are knowledgeable, supportive and passionate about childcare. We currently have 5 educators, all with their Early Childhood Education Certificate. All staff members employed at Peek-A-Boo Childcare Center are trained in First Aid and CPR. They are asked to go through a criminal check, a medical which include at Tuberculosis testing and a prior contact check with the department of Social Development before they can be hired. 

• Peek-A-Boo Childcare Center is an inclusive setting with a respectful and positive guidance policy.

• Communication between parents and educators is very important to us.  Like you, we want the child to adapt to his/her new environment as easily as possible.  To insure harmony, you are more than welcomed to ask questions about your child’s day. We encourage parents’ participation, interest and involvement.  Children are very proud of their work. They can’t wait to show you and share their new knowledge and experiences.
